About Best Places to Work in Indiana
The Best Places to Work in Indiana program honors organizations that demonstrate exceptional levels of employee satisfaction, engagement, and workplace culture. The statewide initiative uses a two-part assessment to measure organizational practices and employee experience.
“The Best Places to Work program is a great way for organizations to take the temperature of their culture and how it’s resonating with today’s workers,” says Indiana Chamber President and CEO Vanessa Green Sinders. “We salute each of this year’s winners for their commitment to displaying best practices in their workplaces, which are enabling them to attract and retain employees, as well as drive increased productivity and overall success.”
To determine rankings, companies across Indiana participated in a two-step evaluation process. The first phase reviewed workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second phase gathered direct employee feedback through a confidential survey measuring workplace experience and engagement.
Final rankings were determined using combined scores from both portions of the evaluation. The Workforce Research Group oversaw the registration and survey process, analyzed the results, and determined the final honorees and rankings.
Organizations were evaluated within five categories based on employee count: small companies (15–34 U.S. employees), small-medium companies (35–74 employees), medium companies (75–249 employees), large companies (250–999 employees), and major companies (1,000 or more employees). Companies headquartered outside Indiana were eligible if they employed at least 15 full-time employees within the state.
