BSA is Growing and You Can Grow With Us

Growth isn’t just something we design for our clients—it’s something we’re building within our own team.

Across the country, BSA continues to expand our impact in healing, learning, and discovery, creating environments that improve lives through architecture, engineering, interior design, and planning. As our work grows, so do the opportunities for talented professionals who want to make a meaningful difference.  At BSA, growth means more than career advancement. As a 100% employee-owned firm, our employee owners share in the firm’s success, giving every team member the opportunity to build both a rewarding career and a stronger financial future.

A Firm on the Move

This year has been an exciting one for BSA, with new leadership appointments that reflect both our continued growth and our investment in developing exceptional talent. We’ve expanded our footprint by opening new studios in Houston and Charlotte, strengthening our ability to serve clients while thoughtfully growing our presence in key markets. That growth has been supported by new leadership appointments that reflect both our continued expansion and our investment in developing exceptional talent.

  • Todd Niesner recently joined BSA as Learning & Discovery Principal in our Houston studio, bringing 5 years of experience leading complex multidisciplinary teams across Higher Education and Science & Technology projects.

  • Carrie McGovern was promoted to Director of Interior Design, strengthening our commitment to creating thoughtful, human-centered environments that support wellness, collaboration, and discovery.

  • Adam Chahulski was promoted to Healing Practice Director, joining Paul Whitson in a co-leadership model that supports BSA’s expanding national healthcare practice.

Engineering That Makes a Difference

As an integrated design firm, engineering is at the heart of every project we deliver. Our engineers work alongside architects, interior designers and planners from day one, creating high-performing environments that support patients, students, researchers, clinicians, and communities.

Whether designing resilient healthcare systems, advanced research laboratories, or next-generation higher education facilities, our engineering teams help solve complex challenges through collaboration, technical excellence, and innovation.

We’re currently expanding our engineering teams in several disciplines, with opportunities that include:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Plumbing Engineering
  • Low Voltage/Technology Engineering

This image shows the electrical switchgear room at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health Maternity Tower, featuring a row of large gray electrical distribution panels and control equipment. The room contains multiple electrical switchgear cabinets with various meters, switches, and control interfaces that manage the hospital's power distribution systems. An extensive network of conduits, pipes, and ductwork runs along the exposed ceiling, typical of a hospital's critical infrastructure areas. The space has concrete flooring with proper electrical grounding and safety measures, and includes emergency lighting systems. This electrical room is essential for providing reliable power distribution throughout the hospital facility, ensuring continuous operation of medical equipment and building systems vital to patient care.

Openings are available across multiple BSA studios, giving candidates the opportunity to build a career with a nationally recognized, employee-owned firm while making an impact in the communities they serve.

And while engineers are a key focus, we have a number of other openings across the firm, including Principals, Architects, and Interior Designer roles.
